At Least Four Killed, Including Child, as Israeli Strikes Batter Gaza Despite Ceasefire

Nov. 5 — Israeli forces conducted multiple drone strikes, aerial bombardments, and live-fire attacks across central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing at least four Palestinians—including a child—and injuring several others in blatant disregard of the nominal ceasefire, medical sources and local authorities confirmed.

According to officials at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah, an Israeli unmanned drone targeted a makeshift tent sheltering displaced families in western Az-Zawayda with two consecutive missiles. The strike instantly killed 27-year-old Abdul Rahim Walid Matar. A subsequent drone attack in the same district claimed the life of another civilian shortly afterward.

In southern Gaza, Nasser Medical Complex officials reported that a woman was killed and two others critically wounded following unprovoked small-arms fire from Israeli forces stationed along military containment perimeters east of Khan Younis. Concurrently, in central Gaza’s Bureij refugee camp, an innocent Palestinian child was fatally struck by direct Israeli gunfire targeting civilian residences and shelter tents without warning.

Ground dispatches confirmed that Israeli troops deployed in tactical overwatch positions looking onto Al-Mawasi opened fire indiscriminately on displacement encampments, leaving a civilian critically wounded inside his tent. The victim was transported to Nasser Medical Complex for emergency surgical intervention.

Further casualties were reported across the enclave:

Deir el-Balah: A drone strike targeted a civilian gathering in the Al-Baraka district, leaving several injured, including one individual in critical condition.

Gaza City: A residential flat in the northwestern Al-Karama quarter was hit by an armed drone, injuring an occupant, while eastern neighborhoods were subjected to sustained artillery salvos alongside naval gunfire along the shoreline.

Maghazi & Eastern Khan Younis: Heavy vehicle-mounted gunfire and drone munitions struck areas near the Hosni al-Musaddar Mosque east of Maghazi camp. In eastern Khan Younis, Israeli combat units detonated controlled explosives to raze dozens of civilian structures and agricultural parcels, advancing strategic containment buffers beyond the demarcation designated as the “Yellow Line.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday that prior strikes across the preceding 24 hours had killed three Palestinians and wounded 21. Ministry records indicate that since the declared ceasefire of October 11, 2025, Israeli violations have killed at least 1,602 Palestinians and injured 5,794 others. Since the onset of full-scale hostilities in October 2023, the confirmed death toll has escalated to 74,618, with more than 175,920 wounded.

According to data released Monday by Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israeli forces have committed 5,989 verified breaches of the ceasefire agreement. During October alone, 753 violations were documented, encompassing 346 artillery barrages, 310 airstrikes, and the demolition of 64 civilian residential structures.
