A devastating accident occurred in Saudi Arabia when a passenger bus collided with a diesel tanker on the route from Makkah to Madinah. At least 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims were killed at the scene.
All the pilgrims were residents of Telangana, a southern Indian state. Among the deceased are women and children. According to sources, the victims include 20 women and 11 children.
The accident took place early Monday morning, local time. The pilgrims were traveling from Makkah to Madinah, and reports indicate that most of the passengers were asleep at the time of the collision.
