Anti-Trump protests rage in the United States

Protests against US President Donald Trump and his advisor Elon Musk have taken place in various countries in Europe. Protesters gathered in Berlin and Frankfurt in Germany, Paris in France and London in the UK on Saturday. AFP and The Guardian reported.

The protests came in the wake of various incidents, including widespread layoffs by the central government after coming to power for a second term and allegations of the president’s arbitrary use of executive power. This is the largest protest in a single day of Trump’s second term.

According to a report by the news agency Reuters, thousands of people took part in the protests in Washington on Saturday despite cloudy skies and light rain. Several organizations participated in the anti-Trump protest on the National Mall in Washington. In addition to Washington, numerous people took part in the anti-Trump protest in New York.

The protesters alleged that the Trump administration is trying to implement their authoritarian form under the guise of tariff policies. Among the protesters were scientists, artists, teachers, and even ordinary housewives. According to them, this tariff policy is not only affecting international relations, but also the prices of food, technology and energy.

Saturday’s protest has been called ‘Hands Off’. One of its meanings is, ‘Let us do our own thing’. About 150 groups have participated in these protests.

The tide of anti-Trump protests has spread to 50 states in the United States, as well as Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Mexico and Portugal. About 200 protesters, most of whom are US citizens, gathered in London, UK, holding banners. They consider President Trump’s new tariff policy, which is a unilateral intervention in world trade.
