The government has imposed an indefinite curfew from 6 pm on Sunday amid the non-cooperation program called by the anti-discrimination student movement. This information was informed in a press release of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
According to the notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs, evening law has been enforced in all divisional cities, city corporations, municipalities, industrial areas, district headquarters and upazila headquarters from 6 pm on Sunday until further notice.
Earlier on Saturday night, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal announced the relaxation of curfew from 6 am to 9 pm.
But in the context of continued violence across the country on Sunday, the government announced to bring forward the curfew time.
At least 14 people died in violence across the country on Sunday. Many people were injured.
