On February 22 2026, H.E. Mr. Yao Wen, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh, met with Ms. Shama Obaed Islam, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on China-Bangladesh relations and other issues of mutual interest.
The two sides agreed that since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China and Bangladesh have always supported each other, treated each other as equals and pursued win-win cooperation. In the new stage of development, they stand ready to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries and work together to bring the practical cooperation between China and Bangladesh in various fields to a new level.
