The three-day Harbin International Ice and Snow Economy Expo officially opened on January 6 at the Harbin International Exhibition Center. This landmark event marks the first-ever ice and snow economy exhibition organized by the Harbin Municipal Government. Held under the theme “Ice Links the World, Snow Dances into the Future—New Momentum, New Connections, New Ecosystem,” the expo showcases cutting-edge achievements across the entire ice and snow industry chain, including sports, culture, equipment manufacturing, and tourism.
Spanning over 20,000 square meters, the exhibition features a central display zone alongside six themed exhibition areas. Diplomats stationed in China from more than 20 countries and regions, representatives of foreign cities, leading industry enterprises, and renowned experts and scholars have gathered in the renowned “Ice City” of Harbin to participate in this global event.
The expo aims to highlight the outcomes of integrated development under the concepts of “Ice and Snow Plus Economy” and “Ice and Snow Plus Technology.” Through industrial exchanges and investment cooperation, it seeks to create new market opportunities for global investors and promote high-quality growth of the ice and snow economy worldwide.
A wide array of ice and snow products is on display, including industrial-grade autonomous snowplows, snowmobiles, carbon-fiber skis, and professional outdoor snow apparel. These exhibits vividly demonstrate the deep integration of advanced technology with environmentally sustainable and green development concepts.
At the opening ceremony, eight institutions related to the ice and snow economy were officially inaugurated, symbolizing the increasingly mature and comprehensive integration of government, industry, academia, research, and practical application in this emerging economic sector.
