Robots’ Joint Performance on Stage Marks a New Frontier in China’s Technological Advancement

As the Year of the Horse CMG Spring Festival Gala approaches, four types of humanoid robots have taken up their roles inside CMG’s No. 1 Studio—some preparing to perform onstage, others assisting behind the scenes. Stepping out of their laboratories, they are now participating together in a real-world test.

The past two years’ galas have witnessed remarkable progress. At the 2025 Year of the Snake gala, Yushu Technology’s “Yangbot” humanoid robot made its first stage appearance, blending robotics with traditional culture. This year, at the 2026 Year of the Horse gala, robots from Galaxy General, Songyuan Dynamics, Yushu Technology, and Magic Atom will appear together. Their collective performance will demonstrate a broad picture of humanoid robot applications. From individual breakthroughs to integrated development, this continuity across two consecutive galas highlights the rapid evolution of China’s humanoid robotics technology.

Every movement onstage is a major step for the industry. This is not merely a combined display of technological achievements—it is a vivid example of the implementation of China’s national strategy, the Guidelines for Innovation and Development of Humanoid Robots. It represents a transition from technological breakthroughs to real-world applications. From the CMG Spring Festival Gala stage to thousands of industries, humanoid robots are rapidly becoming a part of everyday life.
