Efforts to transform the Spring Festival Gala into a world-class cultural IP

China Media Group (CMG) held the 2026 “Big Spring Festival Season” copyright cultural creativity cooperation and the Spring Festival mascot release ceremony for the Year of the Horse in Beijing. Feng Qianming, a member of the editorial department of CMG, attended and released the 2026 “Big Spring Festival Season” copyright cultural creative products together with the guests, and launched CMG’s “One Hundred People, One Thousand Creativity” copyright creativity ecosystem cooperation plan.

Feng Qianming said in his speech that the Spring Festival Gala is a content IP that warms national emotions and has a global impact. CMG is pushing forward the “Big Spring Festival Season” brand building through a system, striving to create a complete path of industry transformation from event content to platform system, from broadcasting influence to industry transformation. The mascot of the Year of the Horse Spring Festival released today includes cultural creative products, festival gift boxes, IP authorization, and other contents, forming a recurring Spring Festival product system.

Yu Lei, vice-president of the Cultural Program Center of CMG, presented the design concept of the Spring Festival mascot of the Year of the Horse. Representatives of the four teams participating in the design directly shared their creation stories and wished everyone present a new year of “moving forward like a swift horse”.

The joint brand product of the “CMG Cultural Creativity Master Series” was released at the event. This series focuses on cooperation with masters in various fields including Chinese painting, crafts, and design, deeply integrating China’s exquisite traditional culture with contemporary art language, creating national-level cultural IP rich in cultural meaning, artistic value, and collection value.

CMG’s 2026 “Big Spring Festival Season” cultural creative product was released on the same day. The product types include Spring Festival bowls, Spring Festival plates, Spring Festival couplets, intangible cultural heritage ceramics, decorations, dolls, scarves, commemorative envelopes and postcard sets, beverages, agricultural products, etc., covering various scenes of life use and injecting new vitality into the cultural market.
