Qatar Says Indirect Talks Continue to End US-Israel War Against Iran

Despite the conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran entering its seventh month and signs of a prolonged stalemate in the diplomatic process, indirect talks aimed at ending the hostilities are continuing, Qatar, a key mediator, has said.

Ibrahim Al-Hashimi, an official at Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the dialogue process remains ongoing, with messages continuing to be exchanged between the parties through Qatar and its regional partners.

The statement comes as uncertainty grows in Washington over Iran’s leadership following the reported destruction of the country’s senior military command.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington does not know who is currently running Iran.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said, “Their first-line leaders are gone, and the second-line leaders are gone as well. My biggest problem is that nobody knows who is running the country right now.”

Qatar’s confirmation that indirect communication channels remain open suggests that diplomatic efforts have not completely collapsed despite the lack of visible progress toward a broader agreement.
