Trump Says US-Iran Agreement Completed Through Digital Signatures

The United States has claimed that a much-anticipated new memorandum of understanding with Iran has already been signed, although Tehran has yet to officially confirm the development.

According to reports by Reuters and AFP, U.S. President Donald Trump said the agreement had been finalized through digital signatures and that a formal signing ceremony would be held in Switzerland on Friday.

The reports said the agreement involved President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance on behalf of the United States, while Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf represented Iran.

A senior U.S. administration official said President Trump personally signed the agreement to underscore his commitment to the peace process.

Iran, however, has remained publicly silent on the matter. Earlier, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf had described the country’s recent position as “a march toward victory” in a message posted on social media, without specifically referring to the reported agreement.

Speaking on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France, Trump said Vice President J.D. Vance would represent the United States at the ceremony in Switzerland. He added that the full text of the agreement would be released in the near future.
