Gaza Death Toll Rises as Casualties Mount Despite Ceasefire Claims

At least 13 people were killed and 57 others injured in Israeli attacks across Gaza over the past 24 hours, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA. One of the deceased reportedly succumbed to earlier injuries sustained in previous strikes.

The ministry said that despite a ceasefire that came into effect on October 11 last year, the situation on the ground has remained unstable due to continued attacks and violence. Since then, the death toll has reportedly reached 870, while 2,543 people have been injured. During the same period, 771 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble, according to the figures.

Medical officials said many people are still trapped under debris or stranded on roads, while rescue teams and ambulance crews are struggling to reach affected areas due to ongoing obstacles and access restrictions.

Separately, one more Palestinian was reported killed after a building collapse, bringing the total number of deaths from structural collapses to 30, according to local sources.
