Tensions are escalating in Lebanon בעקבות recent Israeli military operations, prompting the Lebanese government to call for urgent international intervention. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has urged the global community to take an active role in halting the ongoing attacks.
In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Salam stated that Israeli forces have been carrying out continuous strikes across various parts of Lebanon. He alleged that densely populated residential areas are being targeted, leading to civilian casualties, with the capital Beirut among the hardest hit.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that it had conducted its “largest wave of strikes” in Lebanon since the beginning of its operations against Hezbollah.
Prime Minister Salam condemned the military actions, describing them as a violation of international law. He emphasized the urgent need for coordinated global efforts to address the situation and prevent further escalation.
Calling on friendly nations, Salam stressed the importance of taking all possible diplomatic and practical measures to bring an end to what he described as ongoing aggression against Lebanon.
