Iran Claims Strike Forced US Warship to Retreat, Tensions Escalate in Middle East

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that a missile strike by its forces compelled a US Navy amphibious assault ship, the LHA-7, to make a strategic withdrawal. According to the statement, the vessel—equipped with advanced multi-role military capabilities—was carrying a significant number of personnel at the time of the incident.

In a statement carried by Iranian media, the IRGC said the action was part of its ongoing military campaign dubbed “Operation True Promise 4,” under which a series of coordinated strikes have been carried out against various command and logistical installations.

The IRGC further claimed that several key industrial and military sites in Israel were targeted with ballistic missiles. It also উল্লেখed an attack on a commercial vessel operating in regional waters.

The statement added that drone and missile strikes were conducted against certain facilities in the United Arab Emirates, including a military airbase.

Iran warned that its armed forces and allied groups would continue such operations. It also emphasized that naval movements in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf are being closely monitored, cautioning that any hostile activity would be met with a firm response.

Observers say these developments are further complicating the regional security landscape and heightening concerns across the international community.
