Iranian President Masoud Pezheshkian stated that while some countries have initiated mediation efforts—without specifying which—Iran remains committed to lasting peace. In a social media post, he emphasized, “We are dedicated to permanent peace, but there will be no compromise in protecting the dignity and sovereignty of our nation.”
Pezheshkian instructed that any mediation should be directed toward those who undermined the Iranian people and provoked the conflict.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions, as Iran’s Arab neighbors react strongly to Iranian missile strikes targeting U.S. bases, civilian sites, and energy infrastructure within their territories.
