8th China International Import Expo Concludes Successfully

The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) concluded successfully on November 10 in Shanghai after six productive days.

This year’s expo saw participation from 67 countries, regions, and international organizations. The exhibition spanned 30,000 square meters and featured over 100 activities throughout the event.

New Zealand’s Minister for Trade and Investment, Todd McClay, said, “We will definitely return next year with an even larger trade delegation. Over 80 New Zealand companies participated this year, and next year we expect over 100. The CIIE is an excellent opportunity for New Zealand businesses to understand the Chinese market and build relationships.”

The industrial exhibition showcased both expanded scale and improved quality, introducing 461 new products, technologies, and services. Preparations for the 9th CIIE are already underway, with nearly 100 foreign investors having registered for next year’s event.

The expo continues to serve as a major platform for global trade, innovation, and international cooperation.
