45 Countries Participate in China-ASEAN Expo

Nanning, Guangxi, China – The 22nd China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit has opened in Nanning, capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

On this occasion, CGTN conducted a global online survey. According to the results, 92.8% of respondents believe the Expo reflects China and ASEAN’s firm commitment to high-level opening-up, free trade, and safeguarding the multilateral trading system.

This year’s Expo has attracted 3,200 enterprises from 45 countries worldwide. More than 25,000 business representatives from over 10,000 companies are expected to participate. Nearly 94.5% of survey participants agreed that the Expo has become a vital platform for deepening trade exchanges between China and ASEAN.

For the first time, an artificial intelligence (AI) exhibition hall has been introduced, showcasing over 1,200 AI products from both domestic and international enterprises. Around 78% of respondents noted that AI and the digital economy will inject fresh vitality into regional economic and social development.

Survey findings further show that 91.9% of respondents view China-ASEAN relations as a model of mutually beneficial cooperation. Major Belt and Road projects—including the China-Laos Railway, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, and the China-Laos-Thailand-Malaysia cross-border freight train—have significantly facilitated the movement of people and goods.

Overall, the report highlights that China-ASEAN ties represent one of the most dynamic and successful partnerships in the Asia-Pacific, serving as a model of Global South cooperation. Closer economic and trade relations between the two sides are expected to contribute positively to global economic recovery.
