A section of Japanese politicians and media outlets are deliberately misleading the public and attempting to divert attention, which is highly irresponsible, China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Qian said during a regular press briefing on Friday, 15 November.
Spokesperson Lin stated that extreme and threatening remarks targeting Chinese diplomats have recently appeared among Japanese right-wing groups and on various Japanese online platforms. China is concerned over these developments and urges Japan to take the matter seriously, conduct a thorough investigation, and put an end to such behavior.
He further emphasized that the Japanese government must identify the root cause of the issue and immediately take steps to correct and withdraw these serious comments.
