On Friday morning, February 6, China’s first C909 “Airborne Hospital” for eye, ear, nose, and throat health arrived in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. This marks the official launch of the first overseas public welfare medical service under the “Airborne Health Silk Road” initiative.
The airborne hospital will provide extensive medical services to the people of Laos, including screening and treatment for eye, ear, nose, and throat conditions, mobile diagnosis and surgeries, live surgical demonstrations, staff training, and medical equipment donations. The public welfare medical program is scheduled to run until February 15.
