“The Art of Masks” an International Ethnic Cultural Performances, where Bangladeshi kids show their talent

Twelve small Bangladeshi children proudly showed traditional, folk, and ethnic dance performances of Bangladesh at the “International Ethnic Cultural Performances” in Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza on 13th November 2022. The Consul General of Bangladesh, Ms. Israt Ara, was invited as a guest at the opening ceremony. The Consulate General thanks the Bangladesh Association of Hong Kong (BAHK) and the community members for collaborating with them on the arrangements. It may be mentioned that to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the event was organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department with the support of twenty-three countries, including Bangladesh. This year, the event’s theme was “The Art of Masks.” In line with the theme, masks of the Bengali New Year celebration were also displayed apart from stage performances. On a separate note, the Consulate appreciates the initiatives of the Bangladeshi students of City University, Hong Kong, who installed a booth in their University to showcase Bangladeshi traditional art and culture, handicrafts, etc., along with Bangladeshi food. To promote Bangladeshi culture in Hong Kong, a vibrant city of cultures, the Consulate General of Bangladesh will continue to extend all possible support to Bangladesh community members and students, the CG confirmed.
