‘’There is no money in hand to buy anything from the market. It has been destroyed by floods and there now do not have the opportunity to work because of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is very tough to live in this circumstance’’- said a poor housewife of Bikrampur in Munshiganj.
“With the worst health condition, we have to go out for work otherwise our family will be fasting’’- said Firoz Miah a local resident of the verily flood-affected area in Bikrampur.
China Bangladesh Friendship Center-CBFC, a registered friendship society of Chinese and Bangladeshi people has distributed hundreds of food bags to the flood-affected people in Bikrampur in Munshiganj on 28th August 2020 from 10 am to afternoon 4 pm. The water of the Padma has reached the bottom and flooded the helpless people and made this humanitarian crisis.
CBFCL’s EMERGENCY TEAM FOR SUPPORTING FOOD AFFECTED PEOPLE reached there with food bags consisting of enough rice, dal, oil, salt, potato, chira, and detergent which bag is enough for a small family for one week to survive.
Team lead, CBFC’s Director Event Management Affairs Mr. Abdur Razzak Mamun, coordinator Assistant Director Social Welfare Affairs Ms. Mou Chakrabarty, Assistant Director, Press Publicity and Publication Ms. Tahrima Islam, Team Member Mr. Sharif, local volunteers of the TeamAlive were present and distributed the support bags to the needy at the occasion while other team members supported the lead team logistically guided by CBFCL HQ and Executive Director Dr. Fakhrul Islam Babu.
