On the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth anniversary and National Children’s Day, Bangladesh High Commission organized Essay Competition in Australia.
Children and adolescents from various states including Canberra, the capital of the country, participated in it. Apart from this, drawing competition and cultural programs were organized today in Bangladesh High Commission with the participation of children and teenagers.
Meanwhile, High Commissioner M Allama Siddiqui cut the cake with the children and distributed prizes among them. Apart from this, wreath laying on Bangabandhu’s portrait and discussion on Bangabandhu’s life and philosophy were held. Meanwhile, High Commissioner M Allama Siddiqui said that the outcome of Bangabandhu’s dream and struggle is independent, sovereign Bangladesh. Through his courage and foresight, Bangabandhu organized the entire nation and prepared it for independence. Bangabandhu’s dream will live on from generation to generation. Bangabandhu never compromised on Bengali language, culture and the interests of the people of Bangladesh. The rich history, tradition and culture of the country should be spread among the children and teenagers in the country and abroad.
Apart from this, prayers and prayers and silent prayers are offered according to their respective religions, seeking the forgiveness of Bangabandhu’s soul and the future development of Bangladesh. Addresses given by the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were read out. Earlier, High Commissioner Allama Siddiqui hoisted the national flag. Expatriate Bangladeshis, Bangladesh High Commission officials and their family members participated in these events.
