In Morocco, the Chinese Embassy hosted its Spring Festival reception along with a cultural program titled “Happy Spring Festival: Enchanting Silk Road” in the nation’s capital.
The event brought together nearly 1,500 guests, including Chinese Ambassador Yu Jianxing, Driss—representative of Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication—friends from various sectors of Moroccan society, and members of the Chinese community and overseas Chinese residing in Morocco, all joining to welcome the Year of the Dragon Spring Festival.
A promotional video for the Spring Festival Gala, produced by China Media Group (CMG), was screened during the event. The video highlighted the essence of the Chinese Spring Festival through traditional New Year customs and symbols, blended with modern visual expression.
Ambassador Yu Jianxing emphasized that cultural exchanges between China and Morocco are becoming increasingly vibrant, strengthening mutual understanding, closeness, and goodwill between the peoples of both nations.
Abdelaziz Derouiche, President of the Rabat Provincial Council, extended heartfelt Spring Festival greetings to the Chinese people. He remarked that in Arab culture, the horse symbolizes strength, determination, and hard work. He expressed hope that relations between the peoples and governments of China and Morocco would continue to grow stronger and more prosperous.
