DAB’s Ethnic Minorities Service Centre ( EMSC ) and the Labour Department have once again collaboratively organized the “Building a Multicultural Workplace Job Fair” held at MacPherson Stadium this year around 50 participating organizations, including the Police force, Correctional Services department, various enterprises, and social service organizations. Around 2,100 members of the public entered this year’s job fair, and a large proportion of ethnic minorities participated, which was more than last year’s entry number of around 1,000 people. Within the ethnic minority community, some youths were studying and finding part-time jobs. Some wanted to change jobs or develop a career in a business or hotel-oriented field. As one of the event’s co-organizers, the Chairman of DAB’s EMSC, Vincent Cheng, expressed his hope that people from all walks of life can provide more career opportunities for ethnic minorities and enable the development of a multicultural working environment for everyone.
