State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Mohibbur Rahman said that the government is working to reduce the damage and loss of life due to lightning through the use of modern technology.

Mohibbur Rahman said that due to the recent increase in the number of deaths due to lightning, effective programs will be taken to build management structures in this regard, including increasing public awareness and installing lightning protection devices.

The state minister for disaster management and relief said that steps are being taken to make lightning protection technology affordable and widespread, and to exchange and transfer technology with the international world.

Ambassador of France appointed to Bangladesh today Mrs. Marie Masdupuy said these things when she came to meet the State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Mohibbur Rahman in the office room of his secretariat.

During the meeting, the ambassador of France said that his country will provide assistance in installation of equipment, construction of lightning protection infrastructure and training in addition to exchange of technical knowledge to prevent lightning in Bangladesh.
