Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory message to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, reaffirming Moscow’s support for Tehran’s sovereignty and expressing commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
According to the Telegram channel of the Iranian Embassy in Moscow, Putin’s message emphasized that relations between Tehran and Moscow remain “friendly and neighborly.” He stated that Russia supports Iran’s efforts to safeguard its sovereignty, legitimate national interests, and security—particularly amid the current tense international environment.
The message also expressed Moscow’s desire to further deepen strategic cooperation with Tehran, while extending wishes for the prosperity and well-being of the Iranian people.
