Israel Expresses Concern Over Potential Iranian Missile Attack Amidst Military Drills

Israel has raised alarms over the possibility of an Iranian missile attack, citing recent military drills conducted by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Israeli officials have warned the US administration, led by President Donald Trump, about the heightened tensions. According to Axios, Israel fears that Iran’s military exercises could escalate into a full-blout conflict between the two nations.

Six weeks ago, Iran conducted missile drill exercises, prompting Israel to issue warnings to the US. An Israeli official stated that while the probability of an Iranian attack is less than 50%, the risk is too high to ignore, given the current tensions. A US official echoed this sentiment, saying they have no indication that Iran plans to launch a missile attack immediately. However, sources suggest that misunderstandings between Iran and Israel could spark a war, as both sides might interpret the other’s actions as preparation for an attack ¹.

The recent conflict between Iran and Israel in June, which lasted 12 days, has left Iran’s missile arsenal depleted, with estimates suggesting a 50% reduction. Tehran is believed to have only 200 launchers remaining. Despite increasing missile production, Iran has not yet reached its pre-war levels, according to US and Israeli officials.
