At an international conference and award ceremony organized by the South Asian Business Partnership at Hotel G Ramayana in Kathmandu, Nepal, Bangladeshi student Saima Anika was honored with the Asian Excellence Achievers Award, representing Bangladesh on the international stage.
The event brought together representatives from SAARC member countries, including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Afghanistan. In recognition of her work, leadership, and contributions, Saima Anika received the prestigious award for her representation of Bangladesh at the international level. The award was presented to her by Nepal’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Bablu Gupta, as the chief guest, and former Nepali minister A. K. Nath Dhakal as a special guest.
Saima Anika is currently pursuing studies in British law and is also actively engaged as a social worker and entrepreneur. Through regular social initiatives, she works closely with communities, while her involvement in business contributes to job creation. In addition, she writes articles on various social and humanitarian issues, aiming to raise public awareness and promote positive social change.
She hails from Jatramura in Narayanganj district, Bangladesh. Her father is Kaiyum Khan and her mother is Sadia Khan. As a Bangladeshi woman achieving recognition on an international platform, her accomplishment is a source of pride for the nation and for Bangladeshi women in particular.
This honor represents more than an individual achievement; it stands as a powerful symbol of the capability, leadership, and social responsibility of Bangladeshi women. Saima Anika has received congratulations on her achievement from several prominent figures, including Salam Mahmud, Secretary General of the Global Aviation and Tourism Journalists Association; Engineer Arka Hasan, Co-Chairman and Australia-based journalist and Editor of Voice of Sydney; Abu Tahir, President of TRAB Europe; Hafiz Rahman, Central Organizing Secretary of TRAB; and Jahirul Haque Bashir, General Secretary of TRAB USA.
