Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed stern action following the deadly explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed nine lives. He warned that those behind the attack “will not be spared” and assured that all responsible individuals would be brought to justice.
Speaking in Thimphu, Bhutan, on Tuesday, Modi said, “I deeply sympathize with the families of the victims. Since last night, I have been in direct contact with investigating agencies. Law enforcement authorities are working tirelessly to uncover every detail of the incident.”
Modi arrived in Bhutan on a two-day official visit to attend celebrations marking King Jigme Singye Wangchuck’s 70th birthday. During the visit, he is also scheduled to inaugurate the Punatsangchhu-II Hydropower Project, a major milestone in India–Bhutan energy cooperation, expected to further strengthen bilateral relations.
