At the meeting, Xi Jinping stressed that China’s development and rejuvenation are not inconsistent with the ‘MAGA’ (Make America Great Again) plan put forward by US President Trump. Therefore, China and the United States can achieve common prosperity through cooperation.
He said that China and the United States should be partners and friends; this is the demand of history and the demand of reality.
President Xi is willing to work with President Trump to put China-US relations on a stable foundation and create a fair environment for the development of their respective countries.
