Tehran: Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to face threats from land, air, and sea, according to Admiral Habibullah Sayyari, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian military. He emphasized that the country’s finest young soldiers are always ready to safeguard the nation and its security.
Admiral Sayyari made the remarks on Saturday at the opening ceremony of the 4th World Military Archery Championship, organized by the Iranian Air Force in Tehran. He highlighted that sports are essential for physical and mental health, and participating in them strengthens young servicemen, boosting their confidence to serve as future defenders of the country.
He also underlined the cultural and traditional significance of archery, noting that it is not merely a sport but an integral part of Iran’s religious and cultural heritage. Archery represents courage and heroism, symbolized by the legendary archer Arash the Archer.
Admiral Sayyari added that Iranian participants in the championship aim not only to win medals but also to showcase Iran’s rich culture, heritage, Islamic values, and revolutionary spirit to the world. He expressed hope that the participating countries would recognize Iran as a land steeped in history and values.
Concluding his speech, he thanked the Iranian General Staff, Air Force, and Archery Federation, noting that the event highlights Iran’s tradition and pride on the global stage.
