China has indicated signs of understanding in its ongoing discussions with the United States, following the first four rounds of economic and trade talks, according to Wang Wentao, China’s Minister of Commerce. The announcement was made during a press conference on Friday regarding the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Wang stated that the talks fully demonstrated that China and the U.S. are capable of finding solutions to mutual concerns. He emphasized that as a responsible major country, China has consistently opposed decoupling and remains committed to safeguarding the security and stability of global production and supply chains.
He added that the discussions have shown that, based on mutual respect and equality, both nations can resolve shared concerns and explore paths for peaceful coexistence. Such engagement, Wang noted, will enable the healthy, stable, and sustainable development of bilateral trade relations between China and the United States.
