IDF Begins Preparations for Troop Withdrawal from Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have begun the necessary preparations to withdraw troops from the Gaza Strip, following the announcement of the first-phase ceasefire between Hamas and Israel under the initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The IDF stated that it has started operational arrangements for implementing the agreement based on political leadership directives and ongoing situational assessments. Military sources indicated that the preparations include gradual repositioning of troops along coordinated deployment lines.

The IDF’s statement further noted that this move forms part of the partial withdrawal from the territory in line with the hostage-related ceasefire agreement. According to the IDF’s Telegram announcement, the timing and specifics of these measures remain dependent on political decisions.
