A UK emergency medical team has arrived in Dhaka to provide advanced medical care to those injured in the tragic plane crash at Milestone School in Uttara, the capital.
The British High Commission in Dhaka announced this information on Saturday.
The 9-member medical team includes highly experienced clinical infectious disease specialists, intensive care doctors, infection prevention and control nurses and rehabilitation specialists.
According to British High Commission sources, they will work with local doctors for the next three weeks. They will provide care to the injured students undergoing treatment at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.
British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cook said that the UK wants to express solidarity with the victims of this tragic incident and support them. I am sure that the specialized treatment provided by the UK medical team will help the injured students recover quickly.
Many students were killed in a tragic plane crash at Milestone School in the capital on July 21. Medical teams from China, India, and Singapore have already arrived in Dhaka to provide medical care to the injured.
