Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRUB) has been given its 27th award in a magnificent ceremony. TRUB has given this honor to fifty people and organizations to contribute to the cinema, Television, Song, Theatre, Social Welfare, and Journalism.
This year China Bangladesh Friendship Center-CBFC, a bilateral friendship organization between China and Bangladesh, was honored with the accolade for their humanitarian and Social Welfare activities during Covid 19 and post-pandemic seasons and over the year. Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud presented this award to CBFC in Dhaka Club on Friday. As an extraordinary guest, Sates minister of Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, Adv. Nur Uddin Chowdhury MP and Fhakrul Imam were present on occasion. On behalf of CBFC, Vice Chairperson Mr. Mohammad Kamrul Hasan and Director Social Welfare Affairs Mr. Shariful Islalam received the award. Executive Director of CBFC Dr. Fakhrul Islam Babu dedicated this award to the members of the organization. He said, “any recognition increases work speed. We are so encouraged and excited. For this honor, I express my gratitude to TRUB officials.
TRUB president Salam Mahmud presided over the ceremony. In contrast, former State Minister of cultural affairs and chairman of organizing committee Syed Didar Bakt, theater-pioneer Ataur Rahman, Bangladesh Federal Journalist Union’s president Omar Faruk, Founder president of TRUB, and Poet Hasnain Sajjad and Trub Vice President Iqbal Alamgir was also given a speech.
