Israel’s military chief Major General Herzi Halevi has resigned. On October 7, 2023, he resigned on Monday, taking responsibility for the “failure” during the attack by the Palestinian independence organization Hamas.
In his resignation letter, Halevi said, “I accept my responsibility for the failure (of the military) on October 7.”
On October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked the Israeli border and took hundreds of Israelis hostage. In this incident, Israel launched a counter attack on Gaza on the same day. 47,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks. Most of them are women and children.
