23 September :United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has described the two-state solution as the only reliable path to achieving lasting peace and security for Palestine, Israel and the wider region.
In a message posted on his official account on the social media platform X, Guterres said the objective was clear: the establishment of two independent, sovereign and democratic states—Israel and Palestine—living peacefully alongside each other.
Emphasising the need to implement the two-state solution, Guterres said there was no alternative route to achieving this goal.
