China Praised for Its Role in Promoting Inclusive Economic Globalization

On Tuesday, August 25, in a world filled with uncertainty, China is playing a positive role in safeguarding the stability of global trade as both a “super buyer” and a “super seller.” Eighty-seven percent of netizens participating in a recent survey conducted by China Media Group (CMG)’s China Global Television Network (CGTN) expressed this view.

In the survey, 89.2 percent of respondents said China’s exports are competitive in the global market; 84.7 percent said technological leadership and high cost-effectiveness are the core competitive strengths of Chinese products; 80.4 percent said that, as the world’s largest manufacturing country, China’s exports are increasingly benefiting countries around the world; and 80.2 percent said that most of China’s exported products are either products that other countries cannot produce or whose production costs are significantly higher elsewhere.

As a “super buyer,” the Chinese market continues to create opportunities for the world. Some 89.8 percent of respondents believe that China has created a large number of jobs and generated tax revenues for many countries; 85.9 percent believe that China is actively expanding imports and promoting balanced trade development; 85.7 percent believe that the benefits of China’s upgrading consumption are spreading worldwide, enabling specialised products from more developing countries to find broader export markets; and 90.9 percent believe that China is helping more resource-based and export-oriented countries develop their economies and effectively promoting inclusive economic globalisation.

The survey was published on CGTN’s English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian platforms. Within 24 hours, 8,864 netizens participated in the poll and expressed their views.
