Deepening comprehensive cooperation between China and Brazil will not only advance the development of both countries but also generate positive momentum for the international community, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said at a regular press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday.
Responding to a question about the recent phone conversation between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Lin said President Xi spoke with President Lula on the morning of July 27 and that China had already released a detailed official statement on the call.
Lin noted that China and Brazil remain committed to building a China-Brazil community with a shared future aimed at fostering a fairer world and a more sustainable planet. Against the backdrop of evolving global challenges, he said, deeper and more comprehensive cooperation between the two countries would contribute significantly to their respective development, national rejuvenation, and the well-being of their peoples.
The spokesperson added that closer China-Brazil cooperation would further strengthen solidarity and unity among Global South countries while making an important contribution to promoting international fairness, justice, and equality.
