World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit Opens in Hong Kong

The opening ceremony of the “2026 World Internet Conference: Asia-Pacific Summit” was held on April 13 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The two-day summit is being आयोजित under the theme “Digital Intelligence and Innovative Development: Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace.” The summit focuses on advancing technological innovation in the Asia-Pacific region, strengthening cross-border collaboration, and elevating global digital technology exchanges to new heights. John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, along with heads of central government institutions in Hong Kong and distinguished guests from various sectors, attended the opening ceremony. In addition to the main forum, the summit features six sub-forums covering key topics such as innovation and application of intelligent agents, digital finance, artificial intelligence (AI) security governance, smart living, digital healthcare, and the digitization and dissemination of classical works. Political and business leaders, representatives of international organizations, as well as technology experts and scholars from around the world have gathered at the event. They will exchange views on cutting-edge internet development and regional digital cooperation, which is expected to inject fresh momentum into the Asia-Pacific region’s growth and create new opportunities for the digital economy.
